Abstract
Mobility is important for community independence. With
increasing age, underlying pathologies, genetic vulnerabilities,
physiological and sensory impairments, and environmental barriers
increase the risk for mobility decline. Understanding how mobility
declines is paramount to finding ways to promote mobility in old age.
